The Union Within

Entergalactic had me in a chokehold.

Watching it alone, with a clear mind, allowed me to experience the story through multiple senses at once. The music tapped into me viscerally. The visuals, the movement, the energy, the recognition. It all felt familiar in a way I couldn’t immediately explain.

I recognized myself in Meadow.

There is a difference between infatuation and recognition. Sometimes we are drawn to someone because of what we feel in their presence, and sometimes we are curious because something about their energy feels familiar. But not every energetic connection is the same. Some are soulful. Some are karmic. Distinguishing those feelings matters.

Jabari was beginning a new chapter, but he still found himself entangled in an old reality. Carmen wanted to rekindle their relationship through familiar patterns, even as his life was beginning to change. His friends recognized the dynamic before he did.

Sometimes we have to experience something again to understand that we no longer want to participate in it.

As Jabari began pouring into himself, Meadow was also questioning who she was and the environments she wanted to occupy. They were both evolving, but they had to determine whether they could evolve together.

Their separation gave them clarity. Even as next-door neighbors, they were no longer participating in the same reality. The distance allowed them to recognize what they wanted without constantly reacting to one another.

I don’t believe Meadow should have had to chase what she knew felt real. Jabari was afraid of his world changing, but eventually he had to decide whether he was willing to participate in the new reality he wanted.

Love is spacious enough to allow people to become themselves. It doesn’t require manipulation or the bending of another person’s will. Relationships are complicated, both outside of love and within it. Love requires action, not just words.

I’ve learned that there is a difference between someone showing up with genuine intentions and someone showing up unhealed because they’re afraid to let go of a reality that’s begging to fall back.

Sometimes people mistake the absence of love for love itself. I had to learn what love wasn’t for me to understand what love was.

My understanding is that love is a choice. You either can feel or you don’t. Distinguishing those feelings will determine what it is or what it isn’t.

I can relate to Meadow in her recognition of life and who belongs in it.

I’ve also learned that not everyone gets their happy union with another being. Some of us have to come into union with ourselves. Perhaps the love we are meant to share isn’t necessarily with one person, but with the people we were always meant to share our love with.

In the end, it is all about the choices we make because they shape every reality at the same time.

Imagine a life where you dream of love, but you feel it from within first. Your heart beats differently when you see yourself differently. The mirror is only a mirror of love from the one above.

We are made from love, and with love, we can use it or misuse it, depending on the frequency in which one can see.

You cannot feel what you do not know. You do not know what love is if it’s all for show.

A testament to my own journey of love. Romantic love used to be the destination. I chose myself and decided on restoration. Restoration of my soul with only one goal: to live and to love, whole.
